Workshops.
The framework, brought to life.
The Energy Experiment books are designed as live experiments — structured to change behaviour, not just thinking. The workshops take that same methodology and bring it into the room.
The Foundation and Team Energy Experiment workshops are structured, evidence-informed sessions that take the program's framework into direct, facilitated experience with your organisation. Each workshop is built around a central idea:
that you are the scientist, and your own energy is the subject of the experiment.
Participants will not leave with a one-size-fits-all plan. They will leave with a personalised understanding of their own energy patterns and a set of strategies they have chosen themselves — grounded in their own data, designed to fit their actual life.
Your energy. Your experiment.
Every Energy Experiment workshop follows the same core methodology — one that treats participants as intelligent adults capable of designing their own solutions, rather than passive recipients of advice.
1. Understand Participants establish their baseline. Where is energy currently going? What is filling them and what is draining them? Across which areas of life is the gap between expenditure and renewal most significant?
2. Hypothesise Based on their baseline, participants form a hypothesis. What would shift if energy was managed differently in one or two key areas? What strategies are most likely to make a meaningful difference for each person specifically?
3. Experiment Participants select their strategies, design their implementation, and leave with a personal energy management plan — a set of experiments they have chosen to run, with clear criteria for what success looks like.
Two workshops. One coherent program.
The Energy Experiment: Foundation Workshop.
Where it begins.
Format: Half day · 3.5 hours or full day · 8.0 hours
Participants: Up to 20
Delivery: In person
Prerequisite: None
The Foundation Workshop is the entry point to the Energy Experiment program — and the prerequisite for everything that follows. It introduces the full framework, establishes each participant’s personal baseline across the six energy domains, and guides them through the process of designing their own energy experiment.
This is a half-day or full day workshop. It is practical, structured and grounded in performance psychology research. Participants will leave with a completed personal energy management plan — built around their patterns, priorities and life.
What the Foundation Workshop covers.
The Energy Experiment framework and the Expend · Manage · Renew cycle
The six human energy domains and how they interact
Personal energy audit across all six domains
Strategy selection across physical, sleep, mental, emotional, spiritual and mindset energy
Personal energy management plan design
Implementation and sustainability tools
For teams · The next step.
The Energy Experiment: Team Workshop
When the team runs the experiment together.
Format: Full day · 8.0 hours
Participants: Team groups
Delivery: In person
Prerequisite: Foundation Workshop
The Team Workshop takes the Energy Experiment framework into the collective. It is designed for teams who want to understand the energy dynamics shaping how they work, communicate and perform together — and who are ready to make specific, practical changes to the way they operate.
This is a full-day session. It builds directly on the Foundation Workshop — participants bring the self-knowledge they developed individually and use it as the foundation for a shared team inquiry.
Prerequisite.
The Foundation Workshop is required for all Team Workshop participants. This is not a formality — the team session builds directly on the individual self-knowledge participants develop in the Foundation. Without it, the team energy plan cannot reach its full depth.
What the Team Workshop covers.
Team energy mapping — understanding how individual patterns interact
Identifying shared energy drains and collective patterns
Team energy agreements — practical norms the group commits to together
Collective strategy selection and experiment design
Implementation planning and accountability structures
Sustaining the experiment beyond the workshop day
